Mr. Barbieri teaches, practices, and studies advanced Architecture, Architectural Design, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). In his role as Director of Practice Technology, he is responsible for identifying and implementing "best practice" technologies that enhance KlingStubbins' design process and assists in fostering the growth of the firm's parametric design goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, Craig Barbieri sits in the unique position of bridging between disciplines and works closely with the CIO. He spoke on BIM at the 2008 Autodesk conference, the AIA National convention in San Francisco in 2009, the IES Lighting convention in 2010 and the Collaborate Conference in Philadelphia in 2011. Mr. Barbieri was the winner of the Woodman Competition and the recipient of scholarly awards including the Dales Fellowship, Bockius Traveling Fellowship, Newberry Scholarship, and the National AIA Scholastic Award. Craig was a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Design, Department of Architecture. Mr. Barbieri and his team ensures the highest quality Building Information Models are produced by KlingStubbins firm-wide. His experience on mission critical, Federal government, Design Excellence projects is unparalleled. He has played a key role on the success of some of the largest BIMs ever created. Mr. Barbieri is an advocate for maximizing the potential of current and new technologies on projects and monitors the effective use of the benefits BIM provides.
